Buddy and Ellen wanted to have a low-key celebration for their 50th anniversary. They chose to spend their anniversary at their vacation home. Buddy’s elderly mother, their adult children and grandchildren all were there.
Ellen showed all the grandchildren their photo album which had pictures of Buddy and Ellen in their youth. Buddy’s mother shared stores about Buddy and Ellen when they were young. They had met when they were 15 years old, so she has known them for quite a long time. You might say she watched them grow up.
The grandchildren couldn’t believe that their grandparents were so young once upon a time. It gave the grandchildren a new perspective. Being with their family was just the right kind of 50th anniversary for Buddy and Ellen!
