Hiring
a Party Consultant?

If you are
planning a large wedding anniversary celebration anytime soon,
this question may arise. Should we consider hiring a consultant
or a party planner for the wedding anniversary celebration? The
answer to the question could depend on a lot on related circumstances,
and the biggest circumstance is…what will the celebrating
couple appreciate? Whether it’s for yourself or for someone
else, time, money and creativity will be a big part of the celebration.
What
are the obvious advantages to hiring a consultant or planner for
the wedding anniversary celebration?
Professionalism
If you want to plan an organized event, a consultant will take
the guesswork out of many aspects of wedding anniversary planning.
They are professionals who can competently handle all stages of
the process from brainstorming to the final result.
Time
A wedding anniversary celebration is a big event, and many of
us don’t have time to plan and implement details. A consultant
has all the time in the world to plan. It is their job, and it’s
easier for them because they do it everyday. What could end up
taking the average person two days to plan may take the average
planner two minutes!
Resources
If you plan a wedding anniversary, there may be a few things you
would like to include such as music, a band, a singer, a caterer,
a photographer or someone to video the event. The consultant already
has reputable businesses that he/she has used in the past. References
have been checked, and a working relationship is already intact.
Decoration
If you are not gifted in decoration, a consultant can be of great
benefit. They know what works and what doesn't.
Experience
No matter what type of wedding anniversary celebration will be
held, a consultant has the obvious advantage of raw experience
on his/her side. The odds of having a stress free wedding anniversary
celebration with an experienced consultant are favorable which,
to some, is priceless.
When in search
of a consultant, consider price and work experience. Don’t
be embarrassed to ask for references because a good consultant
should have plenty. Ask questions to find out how much experience
they have with the type of celebration you want. Ask to see photos
of other wedding anniversary parties. Once again, a good consultant
will be able to provide them. Put the consultant through the ultimate
test -- tell them about the event, the couple's personalities,
their history and any other relevant information or special details.
Then give the consultant a budget idea…take a deep breath,
step back and ask them, “what do you see for this wedding
anniversary?”
The reply
may be all the convincing you need, but remember, someone has
to stay on top of the consultant's progress and provide feedback
to make sure the project is staying on track and according to
plans. The end result of a wedding anniversary celebration using
the services of a consultant will be memorable and much easier
than trying to do everything yourself - especially if you have
never planned a large party before. It takes a lot of stress off
everyone involved and allows all attendees the chance to fully
enjoy the wedding anniversary celebration.
