42nd
Wedding Anniversary

My husband
and I have been married 42 years.
We met in
high school, dated, and 'went steady'. He was the football guy
and I was the 'songleader' (somewhat like a cheerleader but with
songs).
We married
while he was in the Army, and I had just finished nurses training.
Now that's
like everyone else's story. Right.....ok, beat this.....what did
we do for our 42nd anniversary?
We filed
for Social Security together. When we told the staff what day
it was, there were many tears and lots of well wishes. From High
School to Social Security.....not too shabby.
